Eni's Code of Ethics details the principles and individual
responsibilities relating to business ethics.
The Company's Senior Management have expressed their full
commitment to and support for the principles and values as outlined
within Eni’s Code of Ethics.
A copy of the Eni Code of Ethics is provided to all employees
along with their contract of employment with the Company. Employees
are required to read the Eni Code of Ethics, ensure that they adhere
to the responsibilities and principles outlined in the Code and seek
clarification on any aspects they are unsure of.
Compliance of the Code of Ethics for all members of staff, is of
paramount importance, not least because it is part of the
contractual obligations of all Eni’s people, wherever they are
based, pursuant to and in accordance with applicable law. It
is also a compulsory general principle of the Organisational,
Management and Control Model adopted by Eni SpA according to the
Italian provision on the “administrative
liability of legal entities deriving from offences” contained
in Legislative Decree No. 231 of 8 June, 2001. The Code of Ethics is subject to review and amendment.
Employees are therefore obliged to review and
familiarise themselves periodically with its contents, to ensure that they
continue to meet their responsibilities with regard to business
ethics.
